Al-Khalil ibn Ahmed Al-Farahidi: an Arabic Language Genius

Al-Khalil's was born in Oman and grew up in Basra, Iraq (718-786 A. D). He was fond of research and exploration; he was one of many earliest Arab lexicographer and Linguists. This individual stayed regularly and adhered to his college students and teachers until he became the first instructor in Basra in Persia language, grammar, music and Arabic prosody.

His most widely known contributions happen to be Kitab al-'Ayn regarded as the first dictionary (lexicon) of the Arabic Language, the current standard for Harakat (vowel represents in Persia script), as well as the invention al-'arud (the research of Arabic prosody)[1].
